Personality:
Roxanna Drace is by no means an easy person to get along with. Years of ignorance by her parents have turned her dark and untrustworthy, which is why she is often seen alone rather that with other people. She does not actively seek humans out, preferring her own company, or the company of Labramon.
When meeting people for the first time, Roxie will often act with common courtesy towards them. She is, however, highly judgemental, so first impressions mean a lot to her.
Roxie does not make friends. She makes allies, usually temporary, people who she needs the aid of, or people she needs something from. As soon as her desires are met, she will not hesitate to betray those who stand beside her. The only creature who she has never betrayed is her faithful Digimon partner. Now with a bad reputation under her belt, people often whisper that ‘Roxie always lies’. This is partially true; she will always say whatever she feels will benefit her most, be it honest or not.
She sees human lives and emotions as games, a game of which she is a master player. Everything she does is meant to cause a reaction from somebody else, whether it is positive or negative. She revels in the chaos she now causes, particularly within the Digital World. She is usually of even temperament, and is difficult to rile up. However, if she does become angry, her wrath is something to be feared.
She rarely gets close to people, as she feels it is useless when they will just stab you in the back. One aspect of her personality is her unpredictability, which influences everything she does; in a fight she does not hold back, but she does not act to a pattern, which makes her difficult to counter or defend against. She never uses the same tactics twice.
Appearance:
Standing at five feet and six inches tall, and weighing just over a hundred and twenty five pounds, Roxanna is not at all imposing. She has a lean, rangy physique, just muscle, skin and bone with very little fat. Her skin is quite pale, with a light, dusky tan. Her cheekbones are very high and defined, and her face is quite gaunt for someone her age.
Roxie’s eyes are a cool blue in colour, and seem to sparkle in the light. The pupils are unusually small. Her hair is dark brown, almost black, and is normally worn straight. It is rarely tied up or curled into a style of any kind. There is a pale scar on the back of her neck, a puckered star shape – not dissimilar from a bullet wound.
When it comes to clothes, Roxie does not really care. She normally wears black, as it flatters her and helps to mask her presence in the dark. Normally, she will wear fitted jeans, a plain tee in either pastel colours or black, and a black jacket. She likes to wear simple converse on her feet, normally in red and white or black and white. She rarely takes her pendant off, so it can be seen, gleaming, against her throat.

The Pendant of Chaos is the one that Roxanna owns.
Given to those who cause strife wherever there is harmony, dancing on the seeds of destruction. It identifies the bearer as someone who is never happy unless others are panicking, stressed, or upset.
Special Item:
Roxie’s special item is a large cats-eye marble.
History:
Roxanna Adrienne Drace was born in London, England. Her parents were Victoria and Benjamin Drace. She had two older siblings – Aidan, 5 and Jasmine, 3. The family was a small, select unit, with no other relatives; both Victoria and Benjamin’s own parents had died years previously, and there were no cousins. They had a unique bond – the children in particular later developed an ‘us against the world’ mindset.
From birth, Roxie was never the most sociable child in the world. She disliked being touched and handled by people she didn’t know. She was actually an accident; her parents had been quite happy with Aidan and Jasmine. Victoria, a pro-life activist, could not bring herself to go against her morals and abort the pregnancy before it had really begun. She could not give Roxie up for adoption either, so she was welcomed into the family a little grudgingly.
As a child, Roxie knew that her parents were paying more attention to Aidan and Jasmine than her. She recognised the favouritism, although it was accidental; how they would get praise for things, and if she did similar then she would not. Because she was young, this did not affect her too badly, as she was too little to understand really what was going on. When Jasmine excelled in her music and Aidan won sports trophies, Victoria and Benjamin would be all over them like a rash. But when she came home with certificates and ‘well done’ notes, she rarely got the same.
It could be said that it was this point when Roxie started to become a little warped.
Going to school, she found it difficult to make friends of any calibre, instead being ostracised for her quiet nature. She was encouraged to be more outgoing by teachers, but this only served to make her even quieter, on account of their relentless prodding. Eventually, she came to like her loneliness, although she resented the other children for ignoring her.
Home life was not improving for Roxie. Her parents continued to dote on Jasmine and Aidan, leaving their youngest out of a lot of their ‘family outings’ by dropping her off with a relative or a friend. On birthdays, she would find herself with few gifts from them, whilst her siblings got stacks of presents. By the time she was ten, she was bitter towards her family, hating them and their stupid ‘unity’.
Aged twelve, Roxie was on one of the school computers one day, when an egg came up on her screen. Curious as to what it was, she clicked on it. Nothing happened and she quickly became bored. However, when she tried to turn the screen off, she found that it would not work. A few hours later, when the cleaners were coming in, the egg on the screen began to crack, and eventually hatched.
A small creature appeared from it, calling itself Paomon, and explaining that it was a Digimon. Roxie also received an odd gadget – a D-Processor. Through that, she looked after her ‘Paomon’, hiding it from everybody. She explained to it that she was lonely and how she disliked the world – it had turned its back on her. The creature came to be protective of her, though it was wary of the bitterness it could see in the teenager.
A few months later, Paomon digivolved into Xiaomon, much to Roxanna’s delight. Together, they broke into her high school and destroyed a lot of the rooms. Roxie had her first taste of power, of the ability to ruin something within an instant. Of chaos. And she liked it.
When Roxie turned fourteen, Xiaomon simultaneously digivolved into it’s current form – that of Labramon.
It was around now that the duo took their first foray into the Digital World. Labramon felt at home, and introduced his partner to the local wildlife. From then on, they spent more time in the Digital World than they did in the real one – Roxie preferred it there. Though there was less to ruin, there were less parents; significantly, her parents were unable to go there.
At home, Roxie was often alone. Her parents now took to leaving her by herself most of the time, as Jasmine had started at university and Aidan was in the army. Whenever they were home, they avoided her like the plague. She continued to destroy the world around her, taking pleasure in disrupting relationships and friendships at school. She loved that she could manipulate people so easily, and felt that, with Labramon at her side, she was unstoppable.
Now sixteen, Roxie continues to hurt those around her with her words – toying with emotions like they are games. She travels in and out of the Digital World whenever she so feels like it. She is completely in control of herself, and nobody can change that.
Or can they?

There is darkness…
A stream of green smoke, luminous and shapeless.
There is light…
Another flash of pale smoke from the opposite side, nothing more than a brief rush.
And so there is hope…
This time the smoke took a form, the vague shape of a serpent, winding its way out of the palm of her hand.
And an equal amount of despair.
The snakelike creature squirmed through the air, gaining detail and form, becoming noticeably bigger.
Humanity is such an odd concept.
The woman stood in the middle of a darkened alleyway, her rain-slicked hair clinging to her scalp and shoulders. She stared up at the sky with eyes darkened by amusement. Her fingers rippled, controlling the odd serpent as it twisted around her, thickening and lengthening.
The head was an obvious feature now, with bulbous eyes and a rough snout, opening its maw to run a translucent tongue over its teeth.
“Now, my pet…” She crooned, causing the serpent to turn of its own accord as it faced her, “Now the game truly begins.”
Thunder tore the sky above the solitary figure, followed by a crackle of forked lightning, not too far away. It illuminated her face momentarily, the look of absolute peacefulness a harsh contrast to the normal snarl.
“Chimera has returned, little humans. Run back to your hidey-holes if you wish to spare yourselves.”
Chimera rubbed her fingers together, and the dragon vanished as quickly as it had arrived. She examined her gloved fingers in wonder, as if curious as to how they could produce such things.
She had had the power for years. Since before she could remember, these strange ectoplasmic dragons had aided her in her dimension-wide conflicts. Her takeovers that had, until Earth, been successful. They had become fearful, whispered tales of fire and storms and bloodshed and darkness that never ended. Tales that she revelled in even now, so many years after the last victory.
No matter.
There had been no successes on this planet yet, but it was only a matter of time.
