Name: Marina Storm, "Rina"
Age: 17
Country: Originally England, now lives in America.
Personality:
Marina is not the kind of person to attempt to strike an idle conversation with someone. Or any sort of conversation, for that matter. Rina tends to blank out the rest of the world, and focus on the few things that she truly cares about. She doesn't usually think before she speaks, which means she can sometimes say the wrong thing, and offend someone instead of befriending them.
Marina takes her role as a Digidestined seriously, and doesn't allow herself to goof off whilst she's in the digital world, which she visits as often as possible. Both the virus, and the governments hunting digimon, are her reasons for this- she doesn't want the digimon to suffer.
When Marina sets her mind to something, there is no stopping her. If she wants it enough, she'll work as hard as she can to get there, regardless of what other people may think of it. Quitting is simply not an option for her, and people who do give up easily annoy her more than anything else.
Appearance:
Marina stands at five feet and seven inches tall, and naturally has a relatively slim build to her body. Her hair falls just past her shoulders, and is strawberry-blonde in colour, though it leans more towards a shade of red than blonde. Her eyes are a soft brown, and she has no freckles on her face. Her ears are pierced and she will usually only wear some kind of quirky studs in them.
In the 'real world' Marina tends to wear fairly simple clothing, usually consisting of jeans, trainers, and either a t-shirt or a dress, with a jacket in the colder weather. Whatever she wears is usually brightly coloured, or black or white (as they 'match anything'). Her red headphones are also a common sight, and are the sort which are overly large and 'retro'. Her belongings are usually stored in the black messenger bag she carries, which is covered in pins and badges.
When going to the Digital World, Marina wears a fairly old-fashioned outfit, consisting of a long sleeved, white blouse, fastened down the front and with lace at the end of the sleeves; black leggings, brown boots that reach her thighs, and are turned over at the top, and a blue, sleeveless coat over the top, which has a few leather accents. The coat is held up by a brass buckle, which has a cross symbol on it. Marina also wears crystal earrings in the Digital World.

History:
Marina was born near Manchester in England, to Fiona and David Storm. The early years of her childhood held nothing out of the ordinary. She went to nursery school, loved going to the park and would never eat her greens. When she was five years old, her sister Hally was born. About a year later, her parents got divorced, and the girls moved out and across town with their mother. Though they were no longer married, Fiona and David were still able to get along, and the girls saw their father a lot, making the whole situation a bit easier for them.
Then, when Rina was twelve, and Hally seven, their father disappeared. He'd been out late at night, and simply never returned home. It was only reported two days later, when he didn't turn up for work, and no one could get hold of him. A large search was held, but it was fruitless. Marina and Hally were distraught. But, when the police told them that it was likely their father had died, Marina refused to believe it. Their dad was the strongest person she knew, and she doubted anyone was going to be able to hurt him that badly.
He was declared to be dead when Marina was fifteen, and she was given an old brass buckle that had once been his. When Marina was born, he'd had it engraved on the back, with "Never give up on your dreams, never stop believing in yourself." When she read those words, she made a promise to herself, to find out what had happened to her father.
That year, Marina, her mother and her sister all moved across the ocean, to live in New York City. Though she loved the place, part of her missed her home, and she became withdrawn around other people, especially those she didn't know in her new school. Instead, she spent her time alone.
Six months ago, Marina became a Digidestined. Her computer had randomly turned itself on, and started loading a program Rina didn't recognise. She tried pretty much everything she could to stop it, but nothing worked. Then, after a flash of light, an object, about the size of her own mobile phone, appeared next to her monitor. A Digivice. Without really knowing what she was doing, she tapped the middle button, and the screen burst to life. In that moment, the computer started making a strange noise, and before Marina knew what was going on, an egg had appeared on her desk.
Naturally, she was freaked out, but for whatever reason, she wrapped the egg in a blanket, and hid it in the back of her wardrobe. Two days later, she heard noises inside, and found a small seed-like creature in place of the egg. After Marina had fed it, it started to glow, and changed into a strange pink-thing with a flower on it's head. Now capable of speech, she identified herself as Yokomon, and explained to a slightly shocked Marina what was happening, in both the real world and the digital world.
Yokomon digivolved into Biyomon during hers and Marina's first trip to the Digiworld, to stop a pair of Gazimon from attacking them. Since then, she has stayed in her Rookie form, digivolving to Champion level when needed. The two of them have since been fighting against the Virus within the Digital world, though they do so alone, rather than trying to find other Digidestined.

Catori Onatah sat on one of the large rocks near the edge of the water, staring out at the horizon and leaning back on her hands, her legs gently kicking without her really noticing it. The wind blew her hair away from her eyes, now that she'd moved to sit in the right direction for it. Even though the sun was slowly starting to set, it was still oddly warm for the time of the year. Not that she was complaining.
Rei slept in her lap, a moment when the Misdreavus was actually quiet and still for a change. They'd managed to cover a fair amount of ground over the course of the day, but although her friend was clearly tired out, Catori felt fine. Her legs ached a little, maybe, but mentally, she couldn't be better.
The waterfall was probably the most peaceful place she'd come across in Senko so far, and the most beautiful. Looking at the surroundings, it was hard to believe that, further into the region, there were places so much more sinister. There were organisations out there that threatened this peace- and she was determined to avoid them for as long as she could. Of course, there were people that worked to stop them, too. Catori just hoped they could gain an upper hand, and keep it.
